Stephanie Penn is a Black visual artist whose work incorporates drawing, collage, watercolor, acrylic, and other found media. Her most recent work explores relationships between mothers and daughters, sisters, and the unspoken or unseen energy exchanges of childhood games, celebrations, and experiences. The women and girls in her work live in the magical and the mundane expressed in vibrant color relationships and composition.
Stephanie’s work has been included most recently at a fundraiser for Overlook Hospital with the Aschwald Art Directory, the Female Hysteria exhibit and the Black Art Unveiled exhibition at the Pierro Gallery in the Baird, South Orange, in group showings at The Painting Center, NYC, the 1978 Gallery, the Affordable Art Show and Sales with the Art Generators, in various Windows for Women events and at SOPAC in the previous year’s SOMA Studio Tour show.
