My heart raced and I gently closed my eyes as the thunderous waves pounded the sand. With a deep breath, I was fully engulfed by the warm, golden sun rays on my back and salty air. I daydreamed and found comfort somewhere between scientific observation and noticing the whimsy in nature. I was maybe 5 then, full of dreams and curiosity.
Fast forward to 2024, after a corporate career of over 20 years, I made the leap to study Natural Science Illustration and earned my certificate from Rhode Island School of Design in 2026. I started painting stories of the sea, the bees, and the caprines. I was lured to capture fleeting emotions onto my canvases.
