Lynn Martin

I am a South Orange–based artist working primarily in oil paint, with a focus on seascapes and landscapes. My work is heavily influenced by growing up near the Jersey Shore and by time spent in Cape Cod. These coastal environments continue to shape my interest in light, color, and movement in nature.

Working from photographs, I explore how shifting light transforms familiar places. Painting has become a steady source of joy and calm for me, and I aim to share that sense of ease through my work.

I’ve also begun creating custom frames for some pieces, with assistance from my husband, adding a handcrafted element to the presentation.
