About

Jennifer Malone is an award-winning artist working in oils. She currently shows her work at various galleries and studios in the NY tristate area. Her work resides with an international array of collectors. Her representational, yet painterly work primarily portrays moments that move her. While her work includes memorializing some wonderful times, other work delves into her concern, anger, sadness and grief. She is sensitive to the treatment of others. When local, national and international events threaten the lives and rights of her human companions it emerges in her work. Jennifer also dabbles in abstractions with a focus on design, composition and color interaction.

Painting for a decade and a half, she trained loosely with other artists and in classes at visual arts schools. However, much of her knowledge is self-taught. She began drawing classes as an experiment when her second of two children entered full-day school. She has been learning, creating and supporting the arts in her community ever since. She embarked on more intensive training last year at the Artists Students League in New York City. This year she is studying techniques to intensify her treatment of color and exploring the impact of scale.
