About

See Susan Darwin’s current exhibit — The New Jersey Paintings — at Reeves-Reed Arboretum! It will be up until October 31, 2024. Whatever is available after that exhibit, will be on the studio tour 2024.

Susan’s studio and living rooms — hung salon-style with art — will be on the tour. Just a step over the Maplewood/Millburn line and you are there. Oil paintings from her 10-year Location Series and other original works will be available, as well as framed and unframed giclées, art cards, and all of the Location Series catalogs.

Starting in 2020, oil painter Susan Darwin began a series of paintings entitled “The Location Series.” Her plan is to paint 20 paintings in a different location each year until 2030. Each year, these 20 paintings serve as a visual essay of what the location inspires and means to her. In a hurried world, where we are all caught up in our own stories, this series examines how a location often has the power not only to define, but to awaken, and hopefully remind us to be — here — at any given moment.

You’ll also get a sneak peek at some of her East Coast Paintings (the latest in the series, available in the Spring of 2025). Lots to look at!

Venmo, PayPal, checks, and cash are accepted.
