I create two and three dimensional work that deals with the issues of painting, space and movement. As a former professional dancer and visual artist I strive to combine the different ways of expressing that occupy the space of my imagination. I create bright paintings that explore the traditional idea of painting, by introduce three dimensionality into the equation, I create a place for the flat and the solid to meet in a unfamiliar however a recognizable environment. I want to engage with art in a way that has a value in the intellect yet leaves freedom for the childlike careless way of looking at art without the burden of history. I see painting as something playful that brings joy to the viewer.
