Initially trained as a figurative painter, I have eventually ventured into exploring abstract art and started looking for ways to mold the two styles and different sets of skills together.
Having always had a deep interest in early Impressionism and the role it played in the transition of pure pictorial realism to a free-flowing interpretation, I have branched out into this direction by creating a series of paintings titled “Reflections of Light”. The series explores mesmerizing interactions of light and color, their impressions, variations, and the resulting harmony. Expressive traces of brush are interlaced with the delicately painted areas of subtle flat color. Impasto technique creates an almost sculptural relief. A symphony of colors and flow of light evoke uplifting emotions.
